Nottingham’s Vegan Market #3

The first Saturday of each month is always an exciting day…it is vegan market day! That one day of the month when I get to eat incredibly delicious food that I would never be able to make. I strongly encourage you to find out your local market days and go! You eat delicious food, meet lovely people and support your local businesses and community. It’s a perfect combo.

Of course, if you want to see some more of my days and other pictures, make sure to follow me on Instagram (@ines_castro88), let’s connect!

First thing I ate was a pot of Nori noodles with a soya based sauce, seaweed and loads of veggies, from shredded carrots to courgette and chickpeas. It was really creamy and had a very unique flavour, it almost tasted of actual sea food which I haven’t had in a very long time. So glad I got to try something completely different from the things I usually eat.

In the picture below you can see the ingredients, but I think they really don’t describe how amazing this tart is! Every bite has so much flavour, so many spices and combinations that my mind never experienced. Soooo delicious and fresh!

I also got a beautiful slice of spinach and blueberry tart which I am going to share with my boyfriend later today (very excited!). I already know it is going to be delicious!

All the food I ate today was made by a lovely lady (she is my fave!) who makes stunning food. Today she also had raw sushi, quich, and another beautiful chocolate tart. She makes everything herself and the amount of ingredients, spices and time that go into her creations is unbelivable. Have a look at her amazing cakes on her Facebook page –

I love raw foods. Seeing so much raw goodness really inspired me to want to try new recipes and play around a bit more with raw foods. Can’t wait to share that with you. I hope you enjoyed looking at this beautiful food and felt inspired to try new things. Thank you so much for reading. Lots of love,

Ines x

    • It tastes as good as it looks! (or even better), it is one of those things you wish you could give to everyone to try haha :) x
