My Go To Vegan Breakfasts

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day! I could have breakfast food all day. However, although I love breakfast food, I tend to have the same 2 things over and over again. They are delicious, easy to make, keep me full and give me loads of energy.

It almost feels silly to share such straight forward and easy recipes but I need to share my love for this food. Hope you give them a try.

Porridge

The classic delicious, warming porridge. I have been perfecting my porridge for a long time but I finally found my favourite recipe. This milk is a game changer, I don’t buy it too often but it is the best non-diary milk ever!

1 cup of Jumbo oats – jumbo oats are my favourite.

1 cup of Alpro Fresh Almond Coconut milk.

1 banana (make sure is very spotty)

Use any seeds you have as toppings. My toppings change quite bit, I usually add a teaspoon of crunchy peanut butter on top or some dates.

Smoothie

I always feel so energised after a smoothie. I love how light yet filling it is. This is my favourite smoothie recipe and the one I do most often. As you can see by the picture I just use my Nutribullet cup, nothing fancy, it’s simply the biggest cup I own. Here is what you need:

1 ripe banana

1 handful of dates (about 5-7)

2 handfuls of frozen mixed berries

3 teaspoons of chia seeds

About 4 tablespoons of instant oats

Water. You can put as much water as you want depending on how thick you want you smoothie to be. Do keep in mind it was get a little bit thicker after a couple of minutes because of the oats. You can also use a non-dairy milk in this recipe, but I personally think that adding water is a great way to hydrate in the morning.

I hope you try and love these two breakfasts, let me know if you do. As I said a LOVE breakfast so please do let me know in the comments what you have for breakfast, I would love to know. Let’s share recipes! Thank you for reading. Lots of love,
